Description
The Main Race is the flagship competition of the Jubilee Live Free Race powered by The Grand Nairobi Bike Race (GNBR). Designed for competitive cyclists across different age groups and skill levels, it provides a professionally managed racing experience on a challenging course in Nairobi.
Participants compete in the following categories:
- Under 14 (36 Kms – 1 Lap)
- Under 23
- Elite (25–40 Years)
- Veterans (41–49 Years)
- Masters (50+ Years)
Whether you are an emerging rider or an experienced competitor, the Main Race offers an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself while celebrating fitness, sportsmanship and healthy living.
Rules & Requirements
1. The Main Race consists of two (2) laps of the official race circuit.
2. All riders must complete both laps to be classified as finishers.
3. Men and Women will assemble together. The Men’s race will be flagged off first, followed by the Women’s race 10 minutes later.
4. An approved cycling helmet is mandatory throughout the event.
5. Only roadworthy bicycles are permitted.
6. Riders must follow the official course and obey all instructions from race officials and marshals.
7. Dangerous riding, unsporting conduct, or taking shortcuts will result in penalties or disqualification.
8. The Race Director’s decision is final in all matters relating to the race and results.
